Michele Sprague doesn’t claim to be a counselor or psychiatrist, but feels like she earned an honorary doctorate degree in life after divorce. And she admits to having plenty of patient-counselor experience.
Michele has been divorced for over 10 years, and said it's been an interesting journey. She experienced ups and downs, laughter and tears, self-discovery and self-doubt.
She’s fallen in love, had her heart broken, made wonderful friends and discovered she has courage. Last but not least, Michele discovered the importance of having a long-term relationship with The Home Depot and a good handy man.
Michele wrote the book, Single Again 101, to let you know you are not alone. Whether you're divorced or a widow, the feelings and experiences you have are similar to those of other single again woman.
Through her experiences, as well as the experiences of friends and acquaintances, Michele learned there are some things we can do to avoid the potholes of single again life.
In addition to writing, Michele enjoys taking long walks, spending time with nature (as long as it doesn’t involve camping), art festivals and events, book stores... Another favorite pastime is gardening. She's known for her five-foot-tall zinnias. Actually, she's standing behind them in the photo that is on this page.
Michele earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Michigan-Flint. Her experience includes writing stories for corporate magazines and newsletters, traditional and online publications, and marketing pieces.
Michele lives her ever-changing life with her husband of one year in Michigan. (She's no longer single again, and said it took a long-g-g time before she and her husband found each other.)
